This Spring, I have the opportunity to go to Nepal on a mission trip through the Bevin Center for Missions Mobilization at Southern Seminary. Nepal is an isolated country that borders India to the south and China to the north. Nepal has eight of the ten highest mountains in the world, including Mount Everest. While there is great beauty in the geography of Nepal, there is a sad reality facing the people of this nation. Unless things change, the majority of the people in Nepal will be born, live, and die without hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. That means that almost an entire country of men, women, and children will spend eternity in hell, separated from God forever without witnessing the saving power of the gospel. I feel that God has called me to join in the effort to make God’s glory known to these unreached people.
Because of it’s location, getting to Nepal is not cheap. The approximate cost of this trip is $3,100 with the majority of the money going towards airfare. God has blessed me with ability to finance a significant portion myself, however there is still a substantial amount of money that needs to be raised. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me in spreading the gospel to a country where only .7% of its inhabitants are considered Christian? Your donation is tax deductible and can be made online, or by sending a check. If you would like to donate by check, please contact me and I will get you a donation envelope.
Over the next several weeks leading up to my trip, I will be posting in detail about the many reasons why I feel it is important for me to go to Nepal.
